About the Role

Slack Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy

  custom Slack apps, bots, and workflows

  using Slack API and Bolt SDK (Node.js or Python).
• Integrate Slack with internal systems and external platforms (e.g., Jira, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, or custom APIs).
• Build

  interactive features

  such as slash commands, modals, and message shortcuts.
• Work with OAuth 2.0 and authentication flows for secure integrations.
• Implement event subscriptions, message posting, and webhooks.
• Collaborate with IT and product teams to understand automation needs and deliver efficient Slack-based solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Slack integrations and workflows.
• Maintain documentation and ensure best practices for Slack app security and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5/6+ Years of experience in software development, preferably with

  Slack integrations

  .
• Strong proficiency in

  JavaScript/TypeScript

  or

  Python

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Slack API, Bolt SDK, and Web API

  .
• Experience integrating Slack with RESTful APIs and webhooks.
• Familiarity with tools like

  Zapier, Workato, or Make (Integromat)

  is a plus.
• Understanding of OAuth, API authentication, and security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Good to Have

• Experience with

  ServiceNow, Jira, or Salesforce integrations

  .
• Knowledge of

  AWS Lambda

  or other serverless platforms for hosting Slack bots.
• Exposure to

  workflow automation

  or

  chatops

  concepts.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
