Institutional Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development – Government Sector

• Generate and close enquiries from

  State Transport Corporations

  ,

  Defence Units

  , and

  Government Departments

  .
• Build and grow relationships with key procurement heads, depot managers, and technical teams.

1. Tender Management & GEM Portal Execution

• Monitor and participate in tenders floated on the

  GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal

  .
• Handle pre-bid meetings, documentation, pricing, and technical clarifications.

1. Account Penetration & Product Expansion

• Drive enhancement of

  Luman’s product range

  within existing government accounts.
• Introduce new SKUs and applications relevant to transport, defence, and heavy fleet requirements.

1. Liaison & Relationship Management

• Regularly engage with senior officers, engineers, and purchase managers in government bodies.
• Establish long-term relationships with STUs (State Transport Undertakings) and defence logistics networks.

1. Market Intelligence

• Monitor competitor activity in institutional segment.
• Gather insights on tender frequency, buying patterns, and budget cycles.

Key Requirements:

• Education:

  Graduate (Mechanical / Auto Engg. preferred), MBA desirable but not mandatory

• Experience:

  Minimum

  5 years

  of institutional sales experience in

  spare parts / filters / brake pads / lubricants / automotive components

• Industry Background:

  Preferably from companies dealing with

  government transport bodies or PSU buyers

• Tools:

  Hands-on experience with

  GeM portal
