Job Description

As an Installation Manager at AVI-SPL, your role involves managing, leading, and coordinating the fabrication and installation department to ensure deliverables are on time, budget, and meet quality standards. You will work closely with Project Management and other department heads to ensure all necessary project documentation and deliverables are prepared for fabrication and installation activities. Your responsibilities will include mentoring technical staff, overseeing installation budget, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices, quality control of fabrication and installation activities, and coordinating field engineering and troubleshooting support. **Day-To-Day Responsibilities:** - Build, manage, and lead fabrication and installation workforce through recruiting, training, and resource scheduling - Coordinate with Project Manager to prepare necessary project documentation for fabrication and installation activities - Oversee installation budget and make recommendations to upper management - Drive adoption and compliance of AVI-SPL Installation & Fabrication standards - Ensure quality control of shop fabrication and onsite installation activities - Monitor labor expenditures to stay within budget - Coordinate fleet vehicle maintenance and equipment delivery - Act as customer liaison in the absence of Project Manager - Coordinate control system programming and field testing of integrated systems - Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints - Use hand and power tools for various AV systems related tasks - Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects **Must-Haves:** - Experience in managing installation workforce through recruiting, training, and best practices techniques - Ability to lead projects to completion with confidence - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control - Ability to manage small to medium projects - Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record meeting driving standards - Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent **Nice-To-Haves:** - Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field (MBA or masters degree preferred) - 4-6 years of installation management experience preferably in the Audio Visual or Construction industry - Knowledge and experience with project management theory and practices - Familiarity with AV or other electro-mechanical systems - Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) At AVI-SPL, you will enjoy medical benefits, paid holidays, sick days, personal days, and a dynamic company culture.
