Job Summary:

The Installation Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire installation function for both retail and project-based aluminium window and door systems. The role demands leadership in planning, coordination, execution, and quality control of installations to meet customer expectations and company standards. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and safety across all sites while managing internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Strategic & Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for installation activities across Retail and Project segments.
  • Manage installation planning from handover to execution in coordination with sales, production, and logistics teams.
  • Oversee installation scheduling, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in installation methods and efficiency.

B. Project & Retail Site Execution:

  • Monitor and control site readiness, installation progress, and compliance with technical drawings.
  • Resolve on-site technical or coordination issues promptly.
  • Ensure material availability and correct BOQ mapping before dispatch to site.
  • Lead pre-installation site inspections and client meetings when necessary.
  • Coordinate with civil/architect teams in project environments for smoother execution.

C. Team Management:

  • Lead and manage installation supervisors, fitters, and sub-contractors.
  • Recruit, train, and assess performance of installation workforce.
  • Monitor team productivity, skill gaps, and provide hands-on technical guidance when required.

D. Quality, Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and site safety compliance (PPE, scaffolding, harnessing, etc.).
  • Implement quality assurance checks before handover to clients.
  • Handle client escalations and site issues professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

E. Reporting & Coordination:

  • Track project installation KPIs including completion rates, snag-free handovers, and TAT.
  • Maintain MIS reports, daily progress updates, and final installation reports.
  • Regularly coordinate with CRM and after-sales teams for feedback and service closure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8–15 years of experience in aluminium window/door installation (preferably Schüco or equivalent systems).
  • Experience in handling both high-volume retail and large-scale project installations.
  • Strong technical understanding of slim sliding systems, façade installation, curtain wall glazing (optional).
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or other relevant tools preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across multiple sites and regions as required.

  • % of Projects/Retail Orders installed within committed timelines
  • No. of snag-free handovers per month
  • % Reduction in rework & material wastage
  • Installation cost per sq. ft. optimization
  • Team performance and skill development metrics
  • Client satisfaction & complaint resolution TAT
