Job Description:

MarketStar currently has an opportunity available for an Inside Sales Representative to support our Google Education team based in the US. This role is focused on outreach and new business development in the US K-12 education market, including schools, school districts, and educational service providers. The ideal candidate should have experience in outbound prospecting, consultative selling, and driving revenue through new meetings, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities, while ensuring adherence to best sales practices and achieving Annual Contract Value (ACV) targets.

What will you do

  • License Renewal Management:
    • Proactively reach out to existing K-12 school customers before contract expiry.
    • Ensure timely renewals of licenses to avoid lapses.
    • Track renewal pipeline and report weekly forecasts and performance metrics.
    • Manage objections and renewal-related escalations with empathy and professionalism.
    • Conduct discovery calls, product demos, and pitch tailored solutions.

  • Cross-Sell & Up-Sell Execution:
    • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products or services aligned with customer needs.
    • Upsell premium plans, features, or licenses to existing clients by showcasing value.
    • Utilize CRM tools to analyze customer usage patterns and identify product fit.

  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers in K-12 institutions and partners.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing product knowledge, training, and best practices.
    • Conduct regular check-ins, product health reviews, and feedback sessions.

  • Sales Pipeline & CRM Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of interactions, pipeline stages, and customer status in CRM.
    • Update opportunity stages and provide timely reporting to sales leadership.
    • Follow up diligently on open quotes, pending deals, and trial-to-paid conversions.

  • Collaboration & Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to share customer feedback and market trends.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement in sales processes and campaigns.
    • Share success stories and sales strategies in team meetings.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Sales - New Business Development
  • Deep understanding of the US K-12 education landscape, decision-making hierarchies, and funding cycles
  • Proficiency with using Google Suites
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Experience with setting and exceeding sales goals
  • Able to multi-task, manage time effectively and adapt to change
  • Able to analyze and interpret data to develop and implement strategic plans is preferred.
