This role requires strong judgement, the ability to analyze complex problems across systems, and a mindset for building scalable and durable solutions.You will work across UI, backend services, databases, and integration layers, partnering with product, architecture, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.The OpportunityAs an Information Systems Engineer 4, you will play a lead technical role in modernizing and supporting financial systems. You will be expected to evaluate technical choices, design components, improve existing processes, and contribute to standards that improve long-term maintainability.This position requires someone who can visualize system behavior end-to-end, make well-reasoned technical decisions, and guide the team through ambiguity.What You'll DoFront-End Engineering
- Build and maintain robust front-end applications in React.js or Angular.
- Ensure design consistency, performance, and maintainability across features.
- Translate business workflows into intuitive user experiences.
Back-End & API Development
- Develop high-quality server-side components using Node.js/Express or ASP.NET Core/C#.
- Own the full lifecycle of APIs including design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization.
- Apply strong judgement in selecting methods, patterns, and techniques for backend design.
Database & Integration
- Design and optimize SQL schemas, queries, indexing strategies, and data-flow patterns.
- Troubleshoot issues involving interaction between application, database, and integrations.
- Work with integration platforms (e.g., SnapLogic) to ensure smooth data exchange with upstream/downstream systems.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Participate in architecture discussions, provide design recommendations, and influence solution direction.
- Create and improve processes, documentation, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate closely with PMs, architects, and IT functional teams.
- Support production incidents through structured analysis and long-term fixes.
What You Need to Succeed
- Strong depth in full stack development using React/Angular, Node.js/Express or ASP.NET Core.
- Advanced SQL competency — schema design, indexing, query tuning, troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze complex issues across multiple subsystems and propose structured solutions.
- Experience designing and maintaining mission-critical applications with high reliability.
- Ability to work independently on new assignments with minimal instruction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated judgement in selecting technical approaches, tools, and patterns
