M&A Tax Specialist
Summary/objective
An M&A Tax Specialist provides expert advice on the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions. This role involves analyzing tax laws, reviewing and reconciling tax balances of acquired clients, preparing tax reports, and developing tax-efficient structuring solutions to ensure compliance and optimize financial outcomes for clients.
Essential Job Functions
Executes the acquisition M&A project plan
Analyzes and balances liabilities through the acquisition
Analyzes and exports tax filing history to ensure compliance
Identifies tax filing issues through reconciliation and balancing of accounts
Configures isolved with client tax filing information
Communicates clients' tax configuration instructions
Submits documentation to agencies

Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures.

Typically requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications
3-4 years HCM/Payroll and Tax Experience
Ability to self-manage and independently deliver solutions
Great communication skills, not afraid to communicate with clients and agencies
Core Competencies Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of tax laws and regulations related to mergers and acquisitions. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop strategic tax solutions. Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in identifying and resolving tax-related issues3. Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively. Attention to Detail: High level of precision in reviewing and preparing tax documents. Collaboration: Effective teamwork skills, working well with various departments and stakeholders. Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with changing tax laws and apply them to M&A transactions.
