About the Team

The Space Planning team is responsible for creating an inspirational in-store experience, while also ensuring that the products are placed strategically. This makes them easily available to the customers and influences them for impulse shopping, thereby increasing our sales.

Job Summary:

Lead complex business critical special projects (space adjacency/planogram) through business and functional knowledge. Analyze data to provide valuable data driven recommendations positively impacting space allocation.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment using agile methodology & dynamic prioritization partnering with multiple stakeholders. Be open to work with limited guidelines or set process open to ambiguity

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead projects involving macro/micro space design, planning and execution for respective divisions & Cross Merchandising space.
• Create store specific Planograms / Floor Plans that illustrate layout and flow of merchandising categories by leveraging data, business context & presentation architecture.
• Support execution of business-critical special projects with high level of attention to detail with 100% accuracy under tight timelines
• Responsible for developing and maintaining global partnership for seamless exchange of knowledge and context.
• Knowledge Management – Create, Validate, Store & Share category/business context and execution guidelines.

• Leverage Project Management practices to help the team deliver projects within prescribed timelines with expected level of quality
• Work in a team environment with focus on achieving team goals vs individual goals
• Act as back-up for Lead Space Planner on Projects, Space Insights & recommendations

Years of Experience:

• 4+ years of Retail Experience

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• B.com / BBM / MBA / Retail Operations Management

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

• Understanding of Retail Industry (local or global)
• Strong communication skills – ability to comprehend, articulate and seamlessly communicate locally and globally
• JDA Space Planning exposure
• Intermediate to advance MS Excel
• Problem Solving – ability to leverage data, information and visuals to solve business and execution challenges.
• Strong understanding of Project Management practices

Secondary Skills (desired)

• Project Management Certification
• Six Sigma Certification
• Sql & BI Dashboards
