Job Description

Job Title: Import-Export Executive
Location: West Delhi

Reports To: Department Head

Job Purpose:

To manage and coordinate all import and export activities ensuring timely delivery, compliance with regulations, and cost optimization to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:Imports:

  • Manage the end-to-end import process for goods and materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Oversee import documentation such as checklist, draft shipping documents of exporters, and review checklists for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with customs brokers to facilitate clearance of goods.
  • Monitor shipments and track import timelines to prevent delays.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to optimize import costs.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate transportation and storage requirements.
  • Maintain records of import activities and prepare management reports, utilizing tools like Super Works to streamline processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in import regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
  • Resolve any issues related to shipping or customs clearance promptly.
  • Support in developing import strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Exports:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the export process, including documentation, customs clearance, and shipment scheduling.
  • Communicate effectively with international clients, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and review export documents such as invoices, packing lists, SI (Shipping Instructions), shipping bills, and E-BRC documents to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments including tracking information and customs documentation.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Resolve issues or delays during the export process, including customs delays or transportation problems.
  • Stay up-to-date with international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and finance teams to coordinate export activities and meet customer requirements.
  • Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Import-Export operations.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, documentation, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and tools like Super Works.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
