Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Import-Export Executive/Manager to assume full ownership of our global trade operations. The candidate must have thorough knowledge of import-export across various segments, as they will be the sole person handling the end-to-end function. This role also involves direct communication with international suppliers and buyers, as well as handling price negotiations, making it a key position in the company’s global supply chain and contributing to its business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end import and export operations — from order placement to final delivery.
  • Handle complete documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, LC documents, and shipping bills.
  • Liaise directly with international suppliers and buyers to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and ensure clarity in trade terms.
  • Negotiate pricing, Incoterms, and freight charges with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with DGFT, ICEGATE, customs laws, international trade regulations, and country-specific policies.
  • Select and manage freight forwarders, CHA agents, and shipping companies for timely and cost-efficient delivery.
  • Track, follow up, and manage all shipments until delivery and clearance.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, cost sheets, and documentation for audits and internal use.
  • Stay current on international trade updates, regulations, and best practices across multiple product categories.
  • Act as the sole point of contact for the import-export function within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in import-export operations, preferably in multiple product segments.
  • Strong understanding of global trade documentation, logistics, HS codes, Incoterms, customs clearance, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with international suppliers and buyers.
  • Ability to independently handle the entire import-export process.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, shipping portals, and ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with EXIM policy, DGFT, ICEGATE, and E-way bills.
  • Prior exposure to B2B trade platforms or e-commerce exports/imports.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations across sectors such as electronics, fashion, machinery, etc.
