Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their heating, ventilation, and air conditioning needs, and provide tailored solutions. You will be responsible for performing load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, and coordinating with other trades to ensure optimal system performance• 2. System Design and Sizing: Prepare HVAC system designs, including calculations for cooling and heating loads, air distribution, ductwork, and equipment specifications. Provide pre-sales support on HVAC equipment (AHU, VAV boxes, Fans, Split units, Chillers from reading specifications to preparing selections to providing final optimized quote. Focus on the selection of chillers by using JCI software and tools.• Pre-sales activities include, but are not limited to; system configuration validation, HVAC equipment selection both air side and water side for bidding of new construction projects, retrofit projects with application and pricing3. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to sales teams by answering client queries, addressing concerns, and ensuring accurate product specifications.4. Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, including system design details, cost estimates, and timeframes.5. Product Selection: Advice on the appropriate HVAC products, components, and technologies based on project requirements, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability.6. Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, engineering, teams to ensure smooth project transitions from pre-sales to installation.7. Market Research: Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, trends, and market requirements to provide innovative solutions.8. Cost Estimation: Assist in estimating costs for HVAC system implementation, including labour, equipment, and materials.9. Client Presentations: Conduct presentations, demonstrations, and site visits for clients to ensure a clear understanding of the proposed solutions.10. Training and Development: Provide training for clients on system operations and maintenance where applicable.Required Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and applications.- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, HAP, Carrier, or Trane).- Knowledge of industry standards and codes.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and proposals.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- Experience in a pre-sales or technical support role in HVAC or a related field is preferred.Desirable Experience:- Experience with energy-efficient and sustainable building systems.- Previous experience in HVAC Estimation or project management.- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software.• knowledge of HVAC Equipment’s like AHU, FCU, VAV boxes, Split systems, chillers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water System, etc.• A solid understanding of the principles of large refrigeration systems and associated equipment is requiredWork Environment:- Office-based with occasional site visits as per customer requirement.- Some travel may be required to meet clients and attend project meetings.
