Designation – HVAC Design Engineer EXP – 2+yrs Location – Project Site (Travel as needed) Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and innovative HVAC Design Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing HVAC systems for various projects, ensuring energy efficiency, performance, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires close coordination with clients, project teams, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions that meet project specifications. Key Responsibilities: System Design and Development: Develop HVAC system designs, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts. Select and size HVAC components such as chillers, boilers, fans, and heat exchangers. Prepare load calculations, equipment schedules, and system diagrams. Energy Analysis and Optimization: Conduct energy modeling and evaluate system efficiency to ensure cost effective solutions. Recommend sustainable and energy-efficient HVAC solutions. Compliance and Standards: Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, local building codes). Perform risk assessments and ensure system safety compliance. Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems with building designs. Provide technical support during project execution, addressing design changes and challenges. Testing and Troubleshooting: Assist with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems. Review and approve shop drawings and submittals. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including design calculations, reports, and as-built drawings. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in HVAC design and engineering. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC design engineering. Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, TRACE, Revit MEP, AutoCAD). Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, heat load calculations, and equipment selection. Familiarity with CFD analysis tools and energy modeling software is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client interaction.
