Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Talent Acquisition & Management

    • Lead end-to-end recruitment for key functions including R&D, manufacturing, QA/QC, regulatory affairs, and sales.
    • Collaborate with department heads to forecast talent needs and build effective hiring strategies.

  • Performance Management

    • Oversee implementation of performance appraisal systems.
    • Drive continuous performance improvement and succession planning initiatives.

  • Employee Relations & Engagement

    • Act as a key point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
    • Design and implement employee engagement programs to promote retention and job satisfaction.

  • Compliance & HR Policy

    • Ensure compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, ESI, PF, etc.) and pharmaceutical industry standards.
    • Regularly update and implement HR policies and SOPs as per industry and organizational needs.

  • Training & Development

    • Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and soft-skills training programs in collaboration with department heads.
    • Promote leadership development and cross-functional learning.

  • Payroll & HR Operations

    • Oversee payroll processing, leave management, and HRIS systems.
    • Monitor attendance, overtime, and statutory documentation.


  • Organizational Development

    • Partner with leadership to drive culture transformation and change management.
    • Lead initiatives on diversity, inclusion, and sustainability within HR practices.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Pharma industry HR experience (manufacturing & R&D preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws & compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Proficient in HRMS / HRIS systems
  • Strategic HR planning & business alignment
  • Employee engagement & retention strategies
  • Performance management frameworks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • MBA in HR / PGDM (HR) preferred
  • Certifications in labor law, HR analytics, or organizational development (preferred)

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment (GMP, FDA, WHO, etc.)
  • Exposure to handling large-scale recruitment, audits, and HR transformation projects
