Role & responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, ensure quality and maintain a reliable supply chain for pharma products and raw materials. Identify, evaluate and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal pricing, delivery schedules and quality standards. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand and coordinate with other departments. Timely availability of materials and minimize disruptions. Analyze market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favourable pricing and payment terms with suppliers to reduce procurement costs. Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations, including GMP, ISO standards and other quality and safety guidelines. Manage and mentor a team of purchasing staff, providing guidance, support and training to ensure efficient and effective procurement operations. Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, contracts and supplier information, and generate regular reports on procurement activities, costs and performance Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions to production. dentify opportunities to improve procurement processes, optimize workflows, and enhance the overall efficiency of the purchasing function. Preferred candidate profile Graduate/Post graduate with relevant qualifications. 8-10 years experience in pharmaceutical purchasing or procurement, including experience in managing a team. Proven ability to negotiate favorable contracts and pricing with suppliers. Excellent comunication and interpersonal skills as well as analytical and problem solving skills. Leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
