Position: Officer/Executive/Sr Executive HR (Plant HR / Factory HR)

Business Unit: Animal Feed

Location: Tumkur, Karnataka

Qualification: Master in HR/IR/ER

Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Executive HR to manage the end-to-end employee life cycle, focusing on both sales and production employees. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our employees, enhancing engagement, managing performance, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This position will be responsible for driving talent acquisition, employee development, retention, DEI Initiatives and overall employee satisfaction in both the sales and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition:

  • Collaborate with line managers, department head to determine staffing requirements for sales and production teams.
  • Conduct recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, colleges, and other talent sources to attract qualified candidates.

2. Onboarding & Induction:

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate orientation programs, ensuring that new employees understand the company culture, values, and expectations.

3. Employee Development & Training:

  • Identify training and development needs for employees in sales and production departments.
  • Organize and deliver relevant training programs to enhance skill sets, improve performance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Work closely with line managers to support career development and continuous learning.

4. Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage the performance appraisal system to assess employee performance, provide feedback, and set objectives.
  • Support in managing underperformance and addressing any disciplinary concerns in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor and track employee performance metrics, providing guidance and coaching when needed.

5. Employee Engagement & Retention:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and foster a positive work environment for sales and production staff.
  • Conduct regular surveys, feedback sessions, and focus groups to understand employee satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Create programs to enhance employee morale and retention, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives.

6. Compensation & Benefits:

  • Administer compensation and benefits programs for employees, ensuring they are competitive within the industry.
  • Handle payroll-related queries and coordinate with the finance team for timely processing.
  • Review and recommend changes to compensation and benefits policies, based on market trends and company needs.

7. Compliance & Employee Relations:

  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal labour laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, addressing grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

8. HR Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and maintain HR reports on key metrics such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and training effectiveness, other data.
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends and provide insights to improve organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

9. Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Partner with the Health and Safety team to ensure that the teams comply with safety standards.
  • Promote a safe working environment and coordinate safety training sessions for employees.

10. DEI Initiatives o Promote Diversity, equity and inclusion Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certifications are a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on manufacturing or production environments.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end employee life cycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and employee relations within the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage change effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in HR or related field.
  • Experience in handling HR functions for both sales and production teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of IR/ER.

Skills:

  • Detailed knowledge HRMS Tools.
  • Proficiency in & MS Office (Excel, PPT,etc.)
  • Fluency in English, Kannada
