Job Description

Chief Happiness Officer,

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will be the key point of contact for all the engineers and the stakeholders
  • Influence key decisions and offer strategic guidance that profoundly affects both the Engineering team and the stakeholders.
  • Align with organizational processes, systems, and culture with key business priorities, design optimal organizational structures, and cultural needs, and drive change management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in determining approaches to matters of recruitment, compensation, HR operations, and other HR functions works with the stakeholders across business units with a view of further driving the people management agenda to support the achievement of the business goals.
  • Independently manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Design and implement a people plan for the business and its various departments taking into account the wider HR agenda.
  • Develop strategies for people management, succession planning, and talent management for key roles and stakeholders.
  • Actively benchmark all HR activities and suggest suitable initiatives based on industry trends.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proven HR personnel with 5-8  years of overall experience with at least 3 years in an HRBP role.

  • Should have extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing HR budgets.
  • Should have prior experience implementing and calibrating HR policies to meet business needs.
  • Should have extensive experience managing senior stakeholders across geographies.
  • Good understanding of the IT Services industry and its nuances
  • Experience working with Windows and macOS
  • Should have prior experience and knowledge of documentation (HRIS such as Keka, GreyTip, SAP)
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal, and verbal, and written communication skills are a MUST
  • Exceptional leadership, time, task, and resource management skills
  • Must have team management experience preferably engineering teams.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Bachelors / Master’s Degree in HR is a huge advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of HR Policies and Processes and strong reporting knowledge is a huge plus
  • Excellent presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skill
  • A big advantage if you have worked in a company that is ISO 27001 certified
  • Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with cross-functional teams and working with an international team is an added advantage
  • Passion for mentoring and managing a team toward excellence
