Position Overview

Human Resources (HR) Manager

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition and Management

  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, including workforce planning, job description creation, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Develop and execute structured onboarding programs for new hires and ensure a professional offboarding experience for exiting employees.
  • Design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies to enhance motivation and satisfaction.

2. Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution

  • Serve as the key liaison between management and employees, addressing queries, grievances, and workplace issues.
  • Manage employee relations with fairness, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Support disciplinary procedures and promote transparent communication across teams.

3. Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll

  • Administer compensation structures, including salary reviews, incentive programs, and annual appraisals.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs such as health insurance, wellness initiatives, and retirement plans.
  • Coordinate with the finance department or payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

4. Performance Management and Development

  • Design and manage the performance appraisal framework, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Identify organizational training needs and implement learning and development programs.
  • Support career progression, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.

5. HR Policy and Legal Compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and procedures in compliance with labor laws and organizational standards.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee data integrity and confidentiality within the HRIS system.

6. Strategic and Administrative Functions

  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage HR budgets and generate reports on key HR metrics such as attrition, absenteeism, and productivity.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the HR team to drive operational excellence.

    Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conflict Resolution:

    Skilled in handling sensitive employee matters with empathy and discretion.
  • Legal & Ethical Acumen:

    In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices.
  • Strategic Thinking:

    Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Organizational & Time Management:

    Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Leadership:

    Experience in leading HR teams and supporting cross-functional managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in

    Human Resources, Business Administration

    , or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum

    6 years of progressive HR experience

    , preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.
  • Proficiency with

    HRIS systems, MS Office

    , and relevant HR software tools.
