Position Description: HR Manager

Institution: Kuniya Group of InstitutionsDepartment: Human ResourcesReports To: Director / Managing Trustee

Position Summary

The HR Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of human resources across the Kuniya Group of Institutions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The role requires a proactive professional who can align HR practices with institutional goals while fostering a positive and productive work environment for faculty and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

· Plan and execute recruitment drives for academic, administrative, and support positions.

· Develop job descriptions, screen applications, conduct interviews, and manage the selection process.

· Maintain an updated database of faculty and staff.

2. Onboarding & Induction

· Design and implement onboarding programs for new employees.

· Coordinate with department heads to ensure smooth integration of new hires.

3. Employee Relations

· Serve as a point of contact for employee grievances, conflict resolution, and counseling.

· Promote a positive, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture.

4. Performance Management

· Develop and implement performance appraisal systems and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

· Coordinate periodic reviews and feedback sessions with department heads.

5. Training & Development

· Identify training needs and organize capacity-building programs for staff and faculty.

· Facilitate workshops, seminars, and leadership development initiatives.

6. Payroll & Benefits Administration

· Oversee payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management.

· Manage benefits programs (PF, gratuity, health insurance, etc.) in line with institutional policies.

7. Policy Development & Compliance

· Draft, review, and update HR policies and employee handbooks.

· Ensure compliance with labor laws, education board/university regulations, and institutional policies.

8. HR Information Systems & Reporting

· Maintain accurate HR records and reports.

· Use HRMS tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

· Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.

5–8 years of progressive HR experience (experience in education sector preferred).

Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and institutional HR practices.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
