Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Chaitanya Business College, Patna

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and firm HR Manager to handle the entire employee lifecycle at our college — from recruitment to exit — while maintaining strong control over staff discipline, documentation, compliance, and legal boundaries. The ideal candidate must have complete knowledge of labour law, employee agreements, and educational institutional HR practices, and must be able to take decisive actions as per college policies, while balancing legality and authority.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle employee hiring, onboarding, probation, documentation, and exit process independently and systematically.

Draft, implement, and enforce employment agreements, bonds, notice periods, and policy-based service conditions.

Ensure employee files include proper joining letters, ID proofs, qualification proofs, bond papers, and HR forms.

Manage CL (Casual Leave), SL (Sick Leave) policies and track leave records professionally.

Knowledge of EPF, ESI, salary structure, and ability to manage or clarify when these are not applicable as per institutional norms.

Handle all issues related to discipline, conduct, misuse of time/resources, personal phone usage, YouTube use, etc.

Capable of withholding salaries, warning employees, terminating during probation, and issuing show cause notices when required.

Must know the legal difference between valid and invalid termination, legal and illegal HR actions, and take proper steps accordingly.

Familiar with labour law limits but must prioritize college-specific administrative control and disciplinary needs.

Guide management on legal HR boundaries while maintaining flexibility to act strongly in the institution's interest.

Maintain strict control over notice period rules, probation period rules, and employee confirmations.

Strong understanding of labour law, employment contracts, HR documentation, legal vs illegal actions

Firm leadership and conflict resolution skills

Ability to take strict disciplinary actions within legal and institutional framework

Excellent in verbal and written communication, drafting notices, and handling staff grievances

Knowledge of EPF, ESI, CL/SL policies, appointment rules, exit policies, and statutory compliance

Highly organized, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidential records

Eligibility:

Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Labour Law, or Administration

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in HR (preferably in a college, school, or education group)

Must have handled bond agreements, salary processing, staff misconduct cases, and full documentation process
