1. Recruitment & HiringWrite job descriptions for roles like dog walkers, groomers, trainers, kennel staff, customer service, etc. Post job ads and manage applications. Interview candidates and evaluate qualifications (especially for animal handling experience). Conduct background checks and verify certifications (e.g., pet CPR, dog training). 2. Onboarding & TrainingNew hire orientation (company policies, safety procedures, animal handling protocols). Training on company tools, scheduling systems, or POS software. Ensure knowledge of animal welfare standards and local regulations. 3. Employee RelationsAddress employee concerns or complaints (e.g., safety concerns, animal behavior issues). Mediate disputes among team members. Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture. 4. Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with labor laws and OSHA standards (especially important for physical work with animals). Maintain up-to-date documentation for certifications (animal care, grooming licenses, etc.). Provide safety training (e.g., handling aggressive dogs, bite prevention, proper leash/harness techniques). 5. Payroll & BenefitsManage payroll, time tracking, and scheduling. Administer benefits like health insurance, paid time off, etc. Handle worker’s compensation claims, especially for injury risks related to animals. 6.
