Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms, corridors, back-of-house areas, and public spaces are cleaned and maintained to hotel standards. Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality control. Assign duties to housekeeping staff and prepare daily work schedules and task lists. Train new housekeeping employees and provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure efficient work performance. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and housekeeping equipment; place orders as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hotel policies, and brand standards. Coordinate with the front desk and maintenance departments to handle special guest requests or room maintenance issues. Address guest complaints and resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Prepare reports on room status, occupancy, and housekeeping productivity. Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll, attendance tracking, and performance evaluations. Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards regarding guest information. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality is a plus. 2+ years of housekeeping experience in the hotel industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Proficiency in using housekeeping management systems and basic computer applications.
