We are looking for a skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager at the branch level to oversee and elevate the housekeeping operations in our North locations.
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Executive will be responsible for ensuring that the cleanliness and hygiene standards at goSTOPS properties are consistently met. This role involves managing the housekeeping team, implementing policies, coordinating with other departments, and driving a culture of excellence across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Housekeeping Operations Management
● Supervise daily housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all guest areas, common spaces, and back-of-house areas.
● Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and schedules to optimize operations.
● Conduct regular property inspections to ensure that all hygiene and quality standards are met.
● Coordinate with teams to plan and execute deep cleaning tasks and maintenance schedules.
2. Team Management and Training
● Recruit, train, and manage housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of performance and service delivery.
● Organize regular training programs to enhance team skills in cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service.
● Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and recognition.
3. Inventory and Supplies Management
● Maintain an inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment.
● Monitor usage to prevent shortages or overstocking, and place orders as needed.
● Implement cost-effective measures to manage supplies and minimize wastage.
4. Guest Experience and Service Excellence
● Ensure guestrooms and common areas are consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming.
● Address and resolve any housekeeping-related guest complaints promptly and professionally.
● Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
5. Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination
● Manage relationships with laundry services, pest control, and other third-party vendors to ensure quality and timely service.
● Liaise with the maintenance team to address facility issues requiring immediate attention.
6. Reporting and Compliance
● Prepare and maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, staff attendance, and inventory management.
● Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across properties.
● Provide periodic reports on housekeeping operations to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
● 1 - 4 years of experience in housekeeping management, with exposure to multi-property operations being an advantage.
● Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to oversee operations across multiple locations.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Knowledge of housekeeping software and tools is a plus.
● Flexibility to travel between properties within South and West India as required.
