Job Description

Urgent requirement for Accounts depart

Sector - Hotel & Resort

Experience - Min 4 to 5 years in hotel accountant position

Knowledge - Tally & ids software

Key Responsibility Areas include:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the development of the hotel's annual budget, monitoring departmental performance against the budget, conducting variance analysis, and preparing financial forecasts.
  • General Ledger and Reconciliation: Managing the general ledger and performing timely reconciliations of all accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to ensure accuracy.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Overseeing the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and managing the collection of outstanding balances (city ledger accounts).
  • Revenue and Expense Tracking: Implementing systems to accurately track all revenue streams (room sales, food & beverage, events, etc.) and monitoring operational costs and expenses.
  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations (e.g., sales taxes, occupancy taxes, income taxes) and preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Internal Controls and Auditing: Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets, minimize financial risks, and coordinating with internal and external auditors during the audit process.
  • Payroll Administration: Managing or assisting with payroll processing, including wage and salary calculations and ensuring correct tax deductions and timely payments.
  • Financial Analysis and Decision Support: Providing management with insightful financial analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Occupancy Rate, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), and data-driven recommendations for cost reduction and profit maximization.
  • Inventory Management Support: Assisting with monthly audits of physical inventory (e.g., food, beverages, supplies) to ensure accurate records and cost control.
