Hiring for Growth Engineer | 40-45 LPA

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to build and own growth-critical systems that drive user onboarding, activation, conversion, billing, and analytics. In this role, you will work on high-impact projects such as implementing Stripe and subscription infrastructure, setting up comprehensive analytics, and developing in-product sharing mechanisms—all while collaborating closely with the Growth Designer to accelerate product experiments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own growth-critical systems including onboarding, activation, conversion, billing, and analytics.
• Implement and maintain Stripe and subscription infrastructure, including conducting pricing experiments.
• Set up and manage analytics and event tracking across product and web platforms.
• Collaborate with the Growth Designer to rapidly ship product experiments.
• Develop sharing and viral loops directly within the product to enhance user engagement.
• Contribute to Chronicle’s website and marketing surfaces when needed.

What We Look For

Skills:

• 
  
• 3–5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to work independently on projects from start to finish.
• Deep interest in growth metrics and understanding how engineering impacts acquisition, activation, and monetization.
• Strong familiarity with modern web development, utilizing frameworks such as React, Next.js, or similar.
• Pragmatic mindset: knowing when to build fast versus when to build well.

Qualifications

Required Experience: 3–5+ years of full-stack software engineering.

Bonus Points:

• Experience integrating and scaling billing systems like Stripe.
• Familiarity with growth tooling including analytics, referrals, and A/B testing frameworks.
• Backend experience with APIs, authentication, or subscription infrastructure.
• Previous startup experience in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
• Experience with monitoring platforms like Datadog and analytics platforms like Amplitude.
