Job Description

Position Overview:

Head – Quality Assurance & Systems

Key Responsibilities:

System Development & Standardization

  • Develop and implement

    Quality Management Systems (QMS)

    across all divisions – Raw Material, Trims, Accessories, Sewing, Finishing, and Packing.
  • Set procedures and SOPs

    for each process, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Drive

    product standardization

    and

    quality design

    in line with customer expectations.
  • Define and periodically review

    quality policies, product policies, and process standards.

  • Prepare and update

    terms and conditions for suppliers

    regarding quality and compliance.
  • Lead

    documentation, version control, and audit readiness

    for QMS and certifications (ISO, ZED, TQM, etc.).

Quality Assurance & Process Control

  • Monitor

    inward material inspection

    , in-line audits, and final product quality checks.
  • Design and implement

    in-house production quality standards

    and sampling procedures.
  • Conduct

    root cause analysis (RCA)

    and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Integrate

    quality checkpoints

    into ERP or digital systems for traceability and efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote

    Lean, 5S, and Kaizen

    initiatives to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
  • Develop

    process improvement plans

    to ensure defect prevention and consistent product quality.
  • Conduct

    quality awareness programs

    and motivate teams to adopt continuous improvement culture.

People Development & Training

  • Create and deliver

    training modules

    for production, IE, and QA teams on quality standards and new methods.
  • Build

    quality ownership and awareness

    among operators and line supervisors.
  • Mentor QA staff on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Tech / Diploma in

    Textile or Garment Technology / Industrial Engineering

    .
  • 10–15 years

    of experience in apparel quality assurance, preferably in garments manufacturing units.
  • Strong exposure to

    QMS, Lean, TQM, 5S, Kaizen, and ERP-based quality management.

  • Proven experience in

    SOP creation, system implementation, and team development.
