Head - Procurement

You will be responsible for leading the procurement and contracts function in India for Engie's renewable energy projects, O&M, and other functions. Your key responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end procurement and contracts management function, conducting detailed costing and estimation to optimize EPC costs, handling the procurement process post securing the project, managing all project contractual activities, planning and defining policies and processes to enhance efficiency in the supply chain and procurement, managing logistics operations, overseeing consultant coordination with Customs, Excise, and Taxation departments, managing project insurances, tracking international supply chains and trends, developing new vendor bases, and working closely with regional and global procurement teams to develop an effective procurement strategy. To be a successful applicant for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and an MBA in operations preferred, along with a minimum of 12-15 years of work experience with 7 years in procurement and supply chain in the renewable energy space. You should possess thorough knowledge of utility-scale, grid-connected Solar & Wind based renewable energy projects, a strong vendor network, and excellent connections across domestic and international equipment and service suppliers. Additionally, you should have a procurement background in a leading RE EPC company / RE IPP, excellent skills in communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship management, the ability to work in a leanly staffed environment, and a good commercial understanding of pricing trends and procurement budgets. This position falls under the GBU Renewables business unit within the T&G AMEA - India division of ENGIE Energy India Private Limited.
