Head of Quality Assurance

Job Purpose -

The role will build and lead a robust project and QA/QC team to guarantee the highest quality of workmanship, materials, and processes throughout the project lifecycle, ultimately ensuring the operational excellence and longevity of steel plant

Educational Qualifications & Certifications -

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering & Industrial Engineering.
• Master's degree or relevant quality certifications are a significant advantage

Total Years of Experience -

• Total 18 to 20 Years of extensive experience in project management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control roles in Greenfield Projects, with at least 5-10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven, in-depth experience in large-scale

  steel plant projects

  (greenfield or major brownfield expansions) across all project phases.
• Thorough understanding of steelmaking processes (e.g., DRI, Blast Furnace, EAF, BOF, Continuous Casting, Rolling Mills) and the associated quality requirements for materials and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of various welding processes, NDT techniques, material specifications, and relevant codes
• Experience with advanced quality tools and methodologies.
• Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary QA/QC teams and interacting with international contractors/vendors.
• Familiarity with Indian regulatory frameworks and quality standards relevant to the steel industry
