Job Description

Role Overview: You will be the Head of Project Management leading the project management function, responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic programs across the organization. Your role will involve combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will manage a team of project managers, establish best practices, and drive operational excellence, governance, and client satisfaction across all project portfolios. Additionally, you will serve as a senior liaison between clients, business stakeholders, and internal operations teams. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) by developing frameworks, tools, and processes for consistent project delivery. - Collaborate with business leadership to define project management strategy, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development to a team of Project Managers and Coordinators. - Represent the function in executive meetings, strategic reviews, and business planning sessions. - Oversee a portfolio of strategic client and internal projects, serving as executive sponsor for key accounts. - Ensure alignment between client objectives and internal execution, driving cross-functional collaboration and accountability. - Lead communication, risk management, and issue resolution across diverse project teams. - Support business development and proposals by contributing to project scoping, resourcing, and timelines. - Implement best practices in project governance, change management, and risk mitigation. - Partner with Operations, Finance, HR, and other business units to ensure seamless project execution. - Track and report on project KPIs, timelines, and profitability to senior leadership. - Drive process optimization and continuous improvement to enhance delivery efficiency and client satisfaction. - Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance across the portfolio. - Ensure accurate billing, cost recovery, and scope alignment with contractual terms. - Identify and escalate opportunities for scope expansion or new engagements. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or related discipline (Masters or PMP certification preferred). - 10+ years of experience in project or program management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role. - Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. - Strong background in stakeholder management, governance frameworks, and operational delivery.
