About Client:

Client is a supply-chain platform in metal industry.

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Legal Head to lead our legal department and ensure robust legal governance across all verticals. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in litigation, compliance, legal documentation, government and public relations,.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Litigation Management:

-Oversee and manage all ongoing and potential legal disputes, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

-Coordinate with external legal counsels and ensure timely legal representation.

2) Contracting & Documentation:

-Draft, review, and negotiate all commercial agreements including vendor and customer contracts, supply chain agreements, MoUs, NDAs, debt financing agreements etc.

-Maintain proper legal documentation and a centralized legal database.

3) Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:

-Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable laws, including labor, corporate, taxation, and industry-specific regulations.

-Lead internal legal audits and ensure that necessary filings and disclosures are made on time.

4) Government Relations & Policy Advocacy:

-Liaise with relevant government departments, regulators, and local authorities to ensure a healthy relationship and stay ahead of legal changes.

--Represent the company in legal and public forums when required.

5) Public Relations Support (Legal):

-Provide legal inputs and risk mitigation strategies for corporate communications, media interactions, and public statements.

-Manage any reputational risk issues from a legal standpoint.

Desired Candidate Profile:

a) LLM from a reputed institution (mandatory).

b) Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal roles, preferably with exposure to manufacturing, metals, or supply chain/logistics sectors
