Job Opening: Design Engineer – Civil & Structural Location: Chennai Experience: 10–15 years Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in Substation Switchyard & Power Transmission projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in design and engineering within the construction domain, delivering high-quality solutions for power infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Structural analysis and design of AIS/GIS substations, control room buildings, and associated civil elements. Design of transformer, tower, and girder foundations. Development of drawings for outdoor equipment foundations, guard houses, staff quarters, grading, roads, and drainage systems. Design of outdoor steel structures and other miscellaneous works related to substations and cabling. Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of design packages. Required Skills & Experience: 10–15 years of relevant experience in Substation Switchyard & Power Transmission industry. Strong knowledge of structural and civil engineering design codes and standards. Proficiency in design software and drafting tools, Such as STAAD Pro, STAAD, Etabs, and AutoCAD. Experience in end-to-end design — from concept to detailed engineering.
