This role is for one of Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 6000000 - Rs 9000000 (ie INR 60-90 LPA) Min Experience: 12 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time Requirements About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Head of Engineering and Product to lead our technology and product functions in unison, driving innovation, execution excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. This role combines deep technical leadership with strong product strategy expertise, making it ideal for individuals who have successfully scaled products and engineering teams in high-growth environments. As a dual leader of engineering and product, you will set the vision, structure the teams, and ensure seamless alignment between business objectives, user needs, and technology capabilities. The ideal candidate brings a blend of hands-on experience as an Engineering Manager and Product Manager , has a user-first mindset, and thrives in a startup or fast-paced organization. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with stakeholders across design, growth, operations, and customer success. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Define and drive the long-term technology and product vision aligned with the company's mission and business goals. Build, manage, and scale high-performing engineering and product teams, fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous improvement. Set clear OKRs for both functions, ensuring accountability, transparency, and performance. Product Management Lead product strategy and roadmap planning based on user insights, market research, and business objectives. Work with designers and engineers to deliver high-impact, scalable features through iterative, data-driven development. Prioritize product initiatives, balancing innovation, customer value, and tech debt reduction. Engineering Management Oversee software architecture, system design, code quality, security, and scalability for all products and platforms. Champion best practices in engineering, including agile methodologies, CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud-native infrastructure. Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers, helping them grow as technical and organizational leaders. Cross-functional Collaboration Serve as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely delivery. Collaborate with GTM, customer success, and operations teams to build products that solve real customer problems and drive revenue. Lead cross-functional quarterly planning to ensure engineering and product roadmaps reflect company priorities. Innovation & Delivery Drive innovation by keeping abreast of new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies that can enhance product experiences and engineering productivity. Ensure timely delivery of product releases while maintaining high standards for quality and reliability. Requirements 12+ years of combined experience in engineering and product leadership roles. Proven track record of scaling SaaS, consumer tech, or enterprise platforms. Strong hands-on experience with modern software development practices and technologies. Experience working in product-led organizations with rapid iteration cycles. Demonstrated ability to define and drive product strategy from ideation to launch. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Prior startup or high-growth environment experience preferred. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Show more Show less
