Our client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. This role will be responsible for facilitating the appetite statements relating to Cyber risks as well as enabling the setup, development and maintenance of 2LOD Cyber threat intelligence oversight of the Security Operations Centre. The role works in close partnership with stakeholders across the business in Technology, external suppliers and projects to ensure effective oversight of cyber risk. The role also supports the Director of India Risk and Compliance in the delivery of wider Risk and Compliance projects, strategic and management activities, business development and digital initiatives.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain high-level cyber risk policies aligned with regulatory and industry standards.
- Manage cyber-related risk appetite statements and report performance to the Risk Committee.
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and reporting activities including RCSAs and assurance actions.
- Evaluate first-line controls and SOC effectiveness through sampling and thematic reviews.
- Participate in cyber incident response planning and execution.
- Oversee threat intelligence operations to detect and mitigate emerging risks.
- Build strong relationships across IT, security, business units, and external partners.
- Collaborate with assurance functions and embedded risk teams to maintain a robust control framework.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives using AI and best practices from FTSE 100 firms.
- Contribute to the evolution of the Technology Risk function and broader Risk & Compliance agenda.
- Manage Technology Risk professionals within M&G Global Services.
- Ensure adherence to people’s policies, Code of Conduct, and mandatory training requirements.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Over 14 years of experience in Risk, Audit, and Big4 consulting roles within financial institutions, specializing in cybersecurity and threat intelligence.
- Proven track record in developing and embedding cyber risk policies, setting risk appetite, and leading performance assessments.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, incident response, threat modeling, and technology risk across 2LOD functions.
- Strong command of enterprise-grade cybersecurity technologies and cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
- Experience in building and maintaining cyber threat intelligence frameworks and conducting gap assessments against security standards.
- Adept at investigating fraud, eCrime, and engineering threat mitigation strategies.
- Skilled in presenting cyber risk insights to senior leadership, Risk Committees, and regulators in a clear, contextualized manner.
- Authored high-impact governance papers and led reviews to extract lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Familiar with global cybersecurity regulations, ethics, and financial industry compliance standards.
