Job Title: Technical Lead – AI & LLMs Location: India (Remote or Hybrid as required) Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Extendable) Compensation: Competitive, based on experience Team Size: Leading a team of 20 engineers About the Role We are looking for a Technical Lead with hands-on experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) , generative AI systems, and full-stack AI product development. In this contract role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team of 20 engineers to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions from concept to production. Key Responsibilities Architect and lead the development of AI-powered applications using LLMs and generative AI frameworks. Supervise model development, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and RAG pipelines. Lead end-to-end implementation across data pipelines, backend APIs, and deployment infrastructure. Mentor a cross-functional team of machine learning engineers, backend developers, and DevOps specialists. Collaborate with stakeholders to align product requirements with technical deliverables. Set coding standards, enforce best practices, and ensure timely project delivery. Implement CI/CD and MLOps processes using tools like MLflow, SageMaker, or Vertex AI. Ensure scalability, security, and performance of deployed AI services. Required Skills 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in AI/ML development. Proven experience working with LLMs, transformer models, and modern NLP frameworks. Proficient in Python , cloud services (AWS/GCP), RESTful APIs, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate), and orchestration tools. Demonstrated success in managing medium-to-large engineering teams and delivering AI products at scale. Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with open-source or commercial LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Mistral, Claude). Familiarity with frontend integration for AI interfaces (e.g., chatbot UIs, copilots). Awareness of AI safety, bias mitigation, and ethical deployment practices. Prior experience in startup or rapid innovation environments.
