Head - IT Security

At Altius, we are committed to building a secure and resilient digital ecosystem. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Head of IT Security to lead our IT Security strategy, risk management, governance and compliance.

What’s the role about?

As Head - IT Security, you will be responsible for defining secucrity policies & controls and monitor all assurance activities related to the company's information security policies. The role also entails working with executive management to determine acceptable levels of technology & cyber risks for the organization, to ensure that the cyber security perimeter is adequately protected.

Job Responsibilities

Security & Risk Management

Develop, implement and monitor a strategic company-wide information security and IT risk management program, considering best security practices for cyber intelligence, cyber threats and fraud. Steer and provide direction to the IT-Security team, ensuring that incidents are responded and resolved on time, with minimum impact on the organization. Fecilitate regular management reviews on information security aspects and drive necessary actions. Develop, manage and deliver to an information security roadmap, incl. projects & initiatives

Security Governance

• Develop & deliver, security awareness and training programs
• Manage Internal Audit, co-ordinate assurance programs, internal/external audits, pen tests, vulnerability scans. Lead resolution of audit findings / risk acceptance
• Lead security risk assessment
• Lead or actively participate in audits pertaining to cyber security, technology risk, privacy and business continuity.
• Lead the management and responses of cyber incidents including regular testing
• Lead the constant technology upgrade to bring cutting edge security solutions. Plan budget allocations and monitor execution of cyber security projects to generate favorable returns.
• keep up to date information on latest cybersecurity and privacy guidelines and frameworks
• Participate in the periodic review of enterprise cyber risk and Tech risk

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Liase with relevant teams to address the closure of audit observations, vulnerabilities and non-compliances in a time-bound manner.
• Maintaining & update knowledge of the latest threats, vulnerabilities & attacks

Information security for the organization

• Work with business units to assess IT risk assessment and risk management processes.
• Understand and interact with related disciplines to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all tenchnology projects, systems and services.
• Create a culture of cyber security within the organization and drive behavioural changes for the business, raising awareness on evolving cybersecurity risks.

A successful applicant will have

• An engineering degree / M.Sc. / MCA or equivalent education with any of these certifications : CISSP/CISA/CISM
• Over 15 years of experience in Information Security, and preferably 2 years in the capacity of CISO or equivalent
• Expertise in network security, cloud security, and data protection
• Proven experience in handling cyber threats, incidents, and risk management
• Leadership skills to build and mentor a high-performing security team
