Head Commercial & Sourcing, Procurement

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor development initiatives across automotive and manufacturing verticals
• Drive cost estimation exercises including zero-based costing to optimize expenditure
• Oversee resource planning, supply chain management (SCM), and purchasing functions to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are met
• Develop and implement procurement policies, processes, and best practices aligned with organizational goals
• Manage and streamline stores and inventory operations to enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with business requirements
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risk mitigation and value addition opportunities

Required Skill Set:

• Expertise in vendor development, purchasing, resource planning, and supply chain management
• Strong strategic sourcing and negotiation skills in the automotive and manufacturing industries
• Proficient in cost estimation methodologies including zero-based costing
• Sound knowledge of stamping, polymer, and mechatronics sectors is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Proven track record of handling procurement and commercial operations in automotive components or automobile industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multiple vendor relationships efficiently
• Candidate should preferably be based in Maharashtra, with preference for Pune

Qualification:

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical

Experience:

• 15 to 25 years of relevant experience in procurement, vendor development, and supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing sectors
