Job Description

We’re looking for a highly skilled and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations, elevate menu innovation, and deliver world-class dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities (Point-Wise)

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations across all sections (hot, cold, bakery, pantry).
  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Develop and innovate menus, signature dishes, and seasonal specials.
  • Standardize recipes and maintain detailed SOPs for all dishes.
  • Conduct regular food tastings and quality checks.
  • Maintain HACCP standards and ensure strict food safety compliance.
  • Ensure proper storage, FIFO, labeling, and temperature management.
  • Monitor and control food cost, wastage, and variance within limits.
  • Review daily consumption, stock levels, and raise purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors for quality raw materials.
  • Prepare duty rosters and assign kitchen tasks for smooth workflow.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate chefs, CDPs, DCDPs, and commis.
  • Promote a disciplined, hygienic, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with F&B and Service teams for seamless operations.
  • Interact with guests for feedback, special requests, and culinary recommendations.
  • Plan and execute menus for events, festivals, and themed nights.
  • Ensure readiness for internal and external hygiene audits.
  • Handle operational challenges and take quick decisions during peak hours.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong expertise in multi-cuisine fine-dining culinary techniques.
  • Menu engineering, food costing, and yield management proficiency.
  • Deep understanding of HACCP standards and kitchen hygiene protocols.
  • High creativity in dish design, plating, and menu innovation.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure, high-volume operations.
  • Strong communication, Leadership and coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and vendor sourcing.
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and build a high-performance kitchen team.
  • Time management and multitasking capability.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, machinery, and safety procedures.

Eligibility Requirement

  • Only candidates with proven experience in 5-star hotels or luxury fine-dining restaurants will be considered.
  • Must demonstrate strong culinary leadership, advanced skills, and the ability to manage high-performance kitchen operations.
  • Increments and growth are strictly performance-based, evaluated through food cost control, variance matrix, wastage management, and overall kitchen efficiency.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
