Job Description

BOOT/EPC, O&M, and Supply Chain Management.

The individual will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, preparing competitive proposals, engaging clients, and driving business conversion through cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Generate and convert leads for O&M, BOOT/EPC, and SCM businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and strategic partners.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange meetings for senior management and follow up on shared proposals.
  • Represent PRESPL at client meetings and industry forums as directed by management.
  • Ensure client feedback is captured and leveraged for improving future offerings.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop a robust business pipeline .

Proposal Development & Techno-Commercial Support

  • Prepare detailed business proposals, from scope to contract finalization.
  • Carry out project feasibility studies, cost build-up, and financial modelling to assess techno-commercial viability.
  • Review client requirements and scope of services, ensure compliance and cost optimization.
  • Lead techno-commercial bid evaluations for biomass projects including BOOT and EPC contracts.
  • Analyze technical specifications related to biomass fuel, boilers, power plants, briquetting, pelleting, and biogas technologies.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Liaise with internal teams including Engineering, Projects, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with HO & zonal teams to transition proposals into executable projects.
  • Ensure smooth handover from BD to execution teams post-contracting.
  • Support team members and align activities with overall company objectives.

  • Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, sales, revenue, and contracts.
  • Submit timely weekly and monthly reports to senior management.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive business data and technological initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
  • Timely submission and successful closure of proposals.
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business generation.
  • Techno-commercial viability and cost optimization in proposals.
  • Timely coordination and seamless transition from proposal to execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • BE (Mechanical) with 8 - 15 years of relevant experience in EPC sales and business development.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy (Biomass)sector preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in preparing financial models and technical proposals.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
