Role Overview

We are looking for a Hardware-Focused Electronics Developer who will take ownership of

circuit design, PCB development, hardware debugging, and hands-on prototyping.

Firmware development is NOT mandatory for this role, but basic firmware understanding will

be considered an added advantage for better hardware validation and integration.

This role requires strong practical skills, including mandatory micro-soldering of SMD

components and a solid foundation in both analog and digital electronics.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Design & Development

● Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for production-grade electronics.

● Create schematics, component selection, and BOM for new designs.

● Design and review 2-layer & 4-layer PCB layouts with proper grounding, power

integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.

● Work on power circuits, DC-DC converters, battery charging & protection circuits.

● Interface with sensors, actuators, relays, motor drivers, and communication modules

(GSM / 4G / LoRa / NB-IoT).

● Perform hardware debugging and failure analysis using oscilloscopes, multimeters,

logic analyzers, and power analyzers.

Prototyping, Assembly & Testing (Mandatory Hands-on Work)

● Perform micro soldering and rework of SMD components including:

○ QFN

○ QFP

○ SOP

○ TSSOP

○ 0603 / 0402 / other common SMD packages

● Assemble, test, and validate hardware prototypes in-house.

● Debug PCB-level issues such as short circuits, noise, overheating, signal integrity

problems, and component failures.

● Conduct reliability, stress, and environmental testing suitable for field applications.

Production & Field Support

● Support DFM / DFT improvements with manufacturing partners.

● Assist in pilot production, field trials, and root cause analysis of field failures.

● Prepare hardware documentation, test reports, and revision notes.

● Coordinate with vendors for PCB fabrication, assembly, and component sourcing.

Cross-functional Collaboration

● Work closely with product development and firmware development teams to ensure

form-factor and thermal feasibility.

● Coordinate with firmware/software teams for hardware bring-up and validation

(firmware contribution optional).

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

Strong focus on Hardware Development (Non-negotiable)

● Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

● Minimum 2+ years of hands-on hardware development experience.

● Strong fundamentals in Electronics:

○ Analog Electronics (op-amps, filters, signal conditioning, power circuits)

○ Digital Electronics (logic, MCUs, interfaces, timing)

● Mandatory micro-soldering experience with QFN, QFP, SOP, and common SMD

packages.

● Strong understanding of schematics, PCB design, and component datasheets.

● Practical experience with power electronics, DC-DC converters, and protection

circuits.

● Proficiency with PCB tools such as EasyEDA, KiCad, Altium, or similar.

● Excellent debugging skills using lab instruments.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage – Not Mandatory)

● Basic firmware understanding (C/C++, MCU bring-up).

● Experience working with microcontrollers such as ESP32, STM32, PIC, AVR, ARM.

● Familiarity with communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS485.

● Exposure to IoT systems and communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP).

● EMI/EMC design awareness.

● Experience in Agri-tech, industrial electronics, automotive, or rugged products.
