Government Sales Specialist / Government Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Government Sales Specialist / Government Account Manager to join Pravartee Sales, specializing in system integration and IT solutions for government clients.

About the Role:

As a Government Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales of IT system integration solutions to central government ministries, state governments, PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings), and municipal corporations. You will play a critical role in expanding our government vertical by building strong relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for government IT projects and system integration solutions
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through government tenders, RFPs, and direct negotiations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, procurement teams, and technical committees
• Collaborate with technical teams to design customized IT solutions for government clients
• Prepare and present compelling proposals, technical presentations, and commercial bids
• Monitor government procurement portals (GeM, CPP Portal, State tender portals) for relevant opportunities
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the government vertical
• Provide post-sales support to ensure successful project implementation and client satisfaction
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and market intelligence
• Stay updated on government policies, digital transformation initiatives, and procurement procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, Electronics) or MBA with technical background
• 5 years of proven experience in government sales, preferably in IT/system integration domain
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tender procedures, and compliance requirements
• Experience with GeM portal, CPP Portal, and various state procurement portals
• Demonstrated track record of winning government contracts worth ₹50 lakhs and above
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong network within government departments, PSUs, and procurement agencies
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and digital transformation technologies

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in system integration projects for Smart Cities, Digital India, or e-Governance initiatives
• Understanding of government IT frameworks like GI Cloud (MeghRaj), IndiaStack, and Aadhaar integration
• Prior experience with enterprise solutions like ERP, CRM, Document Management Systems
• Familiarity with government compliance standards and security clearance processes
• Experience in managing large-scale IT implementation projects
