Google Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  .
• Optimize

  compute, storage, and networking

  resources for performance and cost efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a

  scalable cloud environment

  .

Security & Compliance

• Implement

  cloud security best practices

  , ensuring

  identity & access management (IAM)

  policies are in place.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in the

  cloud infrastructure and application code

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  industry security standards

  (e.g., ISO, SOC2, HIPAA).

Code Vulnerability Assessment

• Perform

  static and dynamic code analysis

  to identify security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development teams to

  fix security flaws

  in applications and infrastructure code (IaC).
• Automate security checks using

  CI/CD pipelines

  and integrate

  DevSecOps principles

  .

Release Management & DevOps Support

• Manage

  release cycles, deployments, and rollbacks

  in a cloud-native environment.
• Support

  CI/CD pipeline automation

  using tools like

  Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build

  .
• Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years

  of experience as a

  Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer

  , preferably with GCP.
• Strong knowledge of

  Google Cloud services

  (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine).
• Hands-on experience with

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  tools such as

  Terraform or Google Deployment Manager

  .
• Proficiency in scripting languages (

  Python, Bash, or Go

  ) for automation.
• Experience with

  security tools

  like

  Google Security Command Center, SonarQube, or Snyk

  .
• Understanding of

  containerization

  and orchestration using

  Docker & Kubernetes (GKE)

  .
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD pipelines

  , Git workflows, and release management processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a

  fast-paced DevOps environment

  .

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Certifications

  (e.g.,

  Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer

• Experience with

  SIEM tools
