Job Description Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Technical Operations Lead (ToL) to join our Global Operations Center (GOC). This role blends hands-on Oracle DBA and GoldenGate expertise with operational leadership and coordination responsibilities. ToLs serve as the link between technical execution, service management, and GOC leadership—ensuring smooth operations, fair workload distribution, and consistent collaboration across shifts and regions. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations Leadership: Manage daily workload distribution (SMT, mailboxes, T&R) within the local shift. Ensure fair allocation, smooth handovers, and adherence to shift-wise priorities in the 24/7 Follow-the-Sun (FTS) model. Oracle DBA & GoldenGate Ownership: Oversee Oracle DB operations, including monitoring, tuning, patching, backups (RMAN/logical), cloning, and upgrades. Lead GoldenGate replication support and ensure operational continuity. Technical Escalation Point: Provide advanced troubleshooting, assist with incident resolution, and support peers with guidance and best practices. Collaborate with global technical teams for cross-location issues. Team Guidance & Development: Mentor team members, offer real-time feedback, and contribute to the GOC training and knowledge-sharing initiatives in coordination with LOT Leads. Service Execution Excellence: Ensure task closure, data accuracy in SMTs, and operational hygiene. Track performance metrics and work with service stakeholders for reviews and process improvement. Knowledge Management: Drive documentation practices using tools like Docupedia and KMS. Promote a culture of reusable knowledge and continuous improvement. Quality, Process & Risk: Ensure process adherence, operational consistency, and compliance with internal standards. Proactively flag risks and implement preventive actions. Technical Expertise Required: Oracle Database Administration (12c, 19c) Oracle GoldenGate setup and operations OEM monitoring, performance tuning Backup and recovery (RMAN/logical) RAC, ASM, patching, and upgrades Database migration and new DB creation OS: Linux, UNIX, Windows Incident/ticket tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy SMT) Broad understanding of IT Infrastructure Education: B.E in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred Qualifications: ITIL Foundation Certified Experience with cloud DB platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) Automation exposure (Shell, Python, Ansible) Strong communication and documentation skills Qualifications BE/ B Tech or Equivalent
