Key Responsibilities

• Geological and Mining Operations
• Conduct geological surveys, mapping, and analysis of quarry sites for building stone and related materials.
• Support mining engineers and mine mates in the preparation and execution of mining plans.
• Analyze soil, rock, and mineral samples to determine suitability for extraction and commercial use.
• Assess geological risks and provide input to optimize resource extraction while minimizing environmental impact.
• Mining Plan & Design
• Assist in the preparation, review, and execution of mining plans in line with government and environmental regulations.
• Utilize AutoCAD to draft, interpret, and modify quarry layouts, mine designs, and excavation plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards while supporting daily quarrying activities.
• Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
• Work closely with environmental consultants to conduct impact assessments and ensure adherence to environmental norms.
• Coordinate with government authorities for obtaining quarry-related licenses, approvals, and permits.
• Prepare technical reports, environmental documentation, and compliance-related submissions as required.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate geological records, maps, and mining data for operational and compliance purposes.
• Prepare detailed reports on quarry activities, resource estimation, and extraction progress.
• Ensure all documentation is aligned with state and central regulatory requirements.
• Cross-functional Support
• Collaborate with site engineers, mining teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure smooth quarry operations.
• Provide technical guidance to team members on geology, quarrying methods, and environmental practices.
• Participate in inspections, audits, and site visits conducted by authorities or clients.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: M.Sc. in Geology / Applied Geology, or Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Experience: 2-3 years in building stone quarry operations, mining plan preparation, or environmental consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for mining and geological drawings.
• Practical experience in quarrying activities, mining operations, and compliance processes.
• Proficiency in Malayalam (reading and writing) is mandatory.
• Must hold a valid driving license and own a bike for field/site visits.
  

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with environmental consultancies.
• Hands-on involvement in quarry-related government paperwork and licensing processes.
• Familiarity with environmental clearance procedures, quarry regulations, and compliance audits.
