The generator lead project engineer will lead the execution of related activities within the design office for one or several projects. He/she works closely with the Project Engineering Manager, Lead Design Engineers (Stator and Rotor), electrical & mechanical calculation Engineers in order to get all the information required to meet the functional requirements of the targeted solution.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design engineers and technicians within your discipline (electrical calculations, mechanical calculations, electrical peripherals, stator & rotor design);
  • Issue and/or check technical reports, technical specifications, part lists, drawings, ITP;
  • Support PEM in management of the technical interfaces with other disciplines;
  • Prepare and lead engineering design reviews for your discipline;
  • Lead the delivery of the design deliverables (documentation and pro-orders) for your discipline
  • Lead, complete and update EDM of the project for his/her scope.
  • Support PEM in management of the technical interface with the Client and project team for your discipline (answer to client comments, participation to Client’s and project meetings)
  • Manage the technical interface with GE factories and external suppliers in charge of the components manufacturing (production order issuance, participation to pre-award, kick-off and follow-up meetings, answering to clarifications, deviations, non-conformances reports) with the support of experts;
  • Manage the technical interface with the site team in charge of the erection of the generator components (participation to kick-off and follow-up meetings, answering to clarifications, deviations, non-conformances reports) with the support of experts;
  • Provide feedback experience to the group (feedback meetings with suppliers and internal, feedback reports)
  • Interact with Engineers worldwide from internal and external design and manufacturing teams
  • Will be exposed to a variety of topics that will develop you in technical and project management aspects.
  • Report the engineering indicators of your discipline to the project team and your manager (on-time delivery, post-freeze modifications);
  • Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in the team.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety requirements, quality procedures and engineering integrity.


Required Qualifications

  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of MTA and PDM tools
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of rotating electrical machines, particularly generators.
  • Configuration management
  • Trained to Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Trained to ITNS-I/ITNS-A management and NS tagging
  • At least 10 years of experience in Design engineering in the domain ofproduct engineering, service and/or manufacturing.
  • Practical experience in RPDM, MTA and MS Office (word, Excel, etc.).
