Tata Communications Redefines Connectivity with Innovation and IntelligenceDriving the next level of intelligence powered by Cloud, Mobility, Internet of Things, Collaboration, Security, Media services and Network services, we at Tata Communications are envisaging a New World of CommunicationsBroad objective of the role To lead, support & monitor all offnet access order deliveries within India through various available offnet providers/vendors with the objective of - ensuring timely and appropriate offnet delivery as per customer requirements - ensuring optimal offnet delivery costs - building relationships with vendors to improve efficiency & cost of delivery" Minimum qualification & experience Years of experience in telecom Other knowledge/skills Vendor management; Understanding of financial aspects KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Operations Review daily reports and metrics of team around access order implementations; Track compliance of suppliers to agreed service levels; Participate in weekly reviews with teams, where required, to resolve issues; Plan and provide inputs to team for jeopardy & contingency management so as to be able to deliver as per timelines; Address issues raised by other internal delivery teams; Interact with engineering where required to provide inputs around increasing regional network demands and implementation issues. - Delivery metrics against service levels 2.Supplier Management Conduct quarterly/monthly reviews with key vendors around performance; Interact with various key vendor management in case of major implementation delays to understand roadblocks, address issues and expedite timelines; Look at avenues for increasing business with key vendors through new portfolios and new order types to improve overall process efficiency; Drive process improvements in the vendor systems to enable better vendor delivery as per requirements; Drive vendors to deliver new solutions based on vendor performance and capability; Work out new technology solutions with partners in conjunction with product teams; Provide inputs to GNS offnet access strategy teams around supplier and supplier renewals. - Vendor metrics & delivery trends - Volumes of delivery per month by each vendor - Distribution between vendors 3.Cost optimization Track cost related metrics around purchase orders including high value orders & access expenditure vs. allocation, high value orders; Identify areas of cost reduction that may be possible and drive specific action item; Review alternative commercial arrangements in case of jeopardies. - Expenditure vs. allocation - Average cost per link 4.Team Development Regularly review team structure and assess talent requirements; Participate in the recruitment and selection process; Conduct goal setting and performance review for the team; Drive team development, engagement and reward initiatives; Coach and mentor team members as required and ensure resolution of any people issues. - Team engagement - %age attrition - Manpower cost and productivity
