Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies including credit terms, supplier selection, sourcing council adherence, and vendor rationalization.
  • Drive working capital improvement through long-term agreements and optimized buying patterns.
  • Identify and leverage global sourcing opportunities to reduce purchasing and sourcing costs.
  • Negotiate new contracts and interpret existing agreements with strong legal understanding.
  • Establish supplier reward and development programs.

Supply Chain & Logistics Management

  • Design, propose, and implement logistics and supply chain strategies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Ensure DOH (Days on Hand) targets are achieved as per defined objectives.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of sales forecasts, purchasing, production planning, traffic, and warehousing.
  • Rationalize transporters and ensure effective logistics data and system control.
  • Ensure safe handling and transportation of hazardous raw materials in line with safety standards.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and cost control in line with HQ guidelines and organizational objectives.
  • Deliver cost savings through innovative initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Ensure accuracy in inventory management and control obsolescence of parts.
  • Establish STE function aligned with global standards.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Establish purchasing budgets, policies, systems, and procedures across the organization.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop team members through performance reviews, KRAs, and capability building.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure supply chain and logistics processes comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Support OT initiatives and ensure interdepartmental coordination.

Authority

  • Take decisions related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Discipline as per company policies.
  • Approve leaves, KRAs, objectives, and performance reviews of direct reportees.
  • Decide on internal employee transfers, rewards, and recognition.
  • Act as an Operations Team Member when required.
