Department NDT Sales

Role Overview:

The General Manager Sales will be responsible for analysing the existing sales landscape, developing growth strategies, and leading the nationwide sales team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in capital equipment sales, excellent people management skills, and the ability to work with multiple products and channel partners. This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and modern reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Assess the current sales performance, market trends, and competition to prepare and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Drive sales of a broad product portfolio in the capital equipment domain.
  • Strategize and manage multiple product lines simultaneously.
  • Create annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with company goals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and manage an All-India sales team of at least 34 personnel.
  • Coach, motivate, and guide the sales team in a professional and sophisticated manner.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set targets, and ensure continuous development of team members.
  • Promote a collaborative and performance-driven culture.

Client & Channel Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across India.
  • Manage and grow business through channel partners, dealers, and distributors.
  • Conduct regular meetings with partners to evaluate performance and strengthen partnerships.

Commercial & Operational Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, MIS reports, and dashboards using modern analytical tools.
  • Review pricing, proposals, and negotiation strategies for key deals.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely execution of orders.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong experience in sales of capital goods/equipment (mandatory).
  • All-India sales exposure with experience handling diverse markets.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, listen effectively, and express independent viewpoints.
  • Skilled in using digital tools, CRM systems, Excel dashboards, and modern reporting platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Capable of managing a wide range of products and large product portfolios.
  • Experience working with channel partners is essential.
  • Can be from a non-technical background but must have worked in the capital equipment industry.

Additional Requirements:

  • Should currently lead a team of minimum 34 sales personnel.
