Job Summary:

We are looking for experienced and results-oriented General Manager – Sales to lead and manage the sales operations of our Fertilizer, Pesticide, and Agrochemical divisions at Delhi/Karnal/Chandigarh/Noidalocations. The ideal candidates should possess deep knowledge of the Agri-input industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building dealer/distributor networks, and developing effective market strategies. This job requires extensive travelling

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
  • Oversee and manage sales operations across multiple regions, ensuring strong dealer/distributor network management.
  • Lead a team of regional managers, area sales managers, and field executives to execute sales plans effectively.
  • Identify and develop new markets, products, and business opportunities in the fertilizer, pesticide, and chemical sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, dealers, and key customers.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to stay competitive.
  • Work closely with the marketing, production, and R&D teams to align sales objectives with product availability and promotional activities.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain healthy working capital.
  • Conduct regular sales reviews, forecasting, and performance evaluations of the team.
  • Provide training, motivation, and leadership to enhance the productivity of the sales team.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations, licensing, and product registration norms applicable to agrochemicals and fertilizers.
  • Represent the company in trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry meetings to promote brand visibility.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business Management, Chemistry, or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in sales and marketing within the Fertilizer / Pesticide / Agrochemical / Agri-input industry.
  • At least 5 years in a senior management or leadership position.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of agricultural markets, product registration, distribution networks, and seasonal sales cycles.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Proven ability to build and manage large sales teams and dealer networks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and ERP tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively across regions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in launching new Agri products or expanding into new territories.
  • Established network of dealers, distributors, and institutional clients in the agriculture sector.
  • Familiarity with government tenders, subsidies, and Agri-department procedures.

Attractive salary package + performance-based incentives + travel allowances + other managerial benefits.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
