General Manager

As the General Manager (Plant Head) at Jejuri (Pune), you will be responsible for overseeing the plant operations related to the product portfolio including gratings, cable trays, handrails, and fabricated steel structures. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all plant activities are carried out efficiently to achieve financial and operational excellence. Your key deliverables will include implementing continuous improvements in systems and standards, developing new techniques to enhance production efficiency, reducing cycle times, and optimizing resource utilization. You will also be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery of quality products to customers, and fostering a positive work environment that attracts and retains high-quality employees. To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional operational skills, knowledge of Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools, as well as strong techno-commercial acumen. Your ability to plan, propose, and execute strategies in line with the company's growth vision will be essential. In terms of professional attributes, you should demonstrate expertise in greenfield and brownfield expansions, efficient planning, and effective coordination. Additionally, your personal characteristics should include strong management and leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and people management capabilities. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 20 years of experience, with at least 7-8 years in a Plant Head role. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE) and a Post-Graduation qualification are required to meet the educational criteria.
