General Manager - Finance Finance

Roles and Responsibilities

The General Manager Finance oversees all accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency. The role involves managing consolidation of financial data, driving the budgeting process, coordinating audits, and guiding strategic financial decisions. This position plays a vital role in improving operational performance and maintaining internal control frameworks across legal entities.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions.

Manage consolidation of financial data for accurate business reporting.

Provide financial insights, reports, and analysis to support management decisions.

Coordinate internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.

Develop and oversee budgeting processes and variance analysis.

Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance in all reporting activities.

Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting processes.

Supervise, train, and evaluate financial team members.

Essential Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Expertise in financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting standards.

Advanced Excel and BI tool proficiency.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

High attention to detail with strong commercial understanding.

Key Performance Indicators:

Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.

Audit compliance and minimal exceptions.

Efficiency and accuracy in budget preparation and variance control.

Process improvements and control enhancements implemented.

Preferred qualifications

Experience: Minimum 10 years in controllership, accounting, or audit with multi-entity exposure.

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent professional certification.
