General Accountant

We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented General Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in GST and Income Tax filing, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow).
• Handle GST registration, filing of returns, reconciliation, and compliance.
• Manage Income Tax calculations, TDS deduction, return filing, and related documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Process monthly payroll and statutory deductions.
• Maintain proper records of invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for statutory audits and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
• Hands-on experience in GST and Income Tax filing is mandatory.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation laws.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in preparing MIS reports and supporting management with financial insights.
• Knowledge of other statutory compliances such as PF, ESI, and ROC filings.
